November 24: The premiere of the play I am producing: “When Harry Met Rehab”

HEARTBREAKINGLY FUNNY

Harry is a successful sports radio personality who gets fired from his job when he’s pulled over for drunk driving on the way home from a hockey game. His agent and lawyer stage an intervention to convince him to check into rehab, telling him it’s his only opportunity to save his career. Harry reluctantly agrees, though insists he’s not an alcoholic. He meets his roommates Vince, a middle-aged divorced father of twins, Isaiah, a young pharmacist, Andrea, a woman on her fifth stint in rehab, and George, a “hot mess of a twenty-five-year-old millennial,” and Barb, their therapist and guide. Through this unlikely group of friends, Harry discovers more about addiction and himself than he ever thought possible.  Told through Harry’s narration and a series of vignettes, this is a story of community, loss, and redemption.
